Going to school is something we do together!
At the Mundus we think it is important that everyone interacts with each other in a pleasant way and that everyone quickly feels at home at school. That's why we set up Peer to Peer.
Every year, 6 Peer Leaders are trained to supervise the new first graders at school. The Peer Leaders regularly come into the classroom to support, or to present something. They give the students extra attention through conversations and also keep an eye on things during the breaks. They support with practical matters and help students find their way around. The Peer Leaders also help with outings or activities for the first graders at school.
As a result, the Peer Leaders acquire many skills that are of great importance for their further (school) career. Upon completion, the Peer Leaders receive a certificate for the competencies they have acquired. At the same time, the Peer Leaders contribute to a positive school culture and that is something that we wholeheartedly strive for throughout Mundus!
