Textbooks and Chromebooks

At the beginning of the school year, every pupil receives the necessary textbooks from the Book Fund. In addition to books, your child will also need other teaching materials. You purchase these items yourself. For example, notebooks, binders, agendas, pens, pencils, ruler, eraser, pencil sharpener, calculator, tools, sports and/or work clothes. At the beginning of the school year, your child will be told by the mentor exactly which items he/she needs to purchase.

Book Fund Regulations

• The books are delivered once in a school bag at the beginning of the school year. The student then signs for receipt. The student should handle his/her books with care.
• If the student has lost one of his/her books, he/she must purchase a new book from the book fund. The costs of this are for your own account.
• The books are the property of the student after they are issued, he/she does not have to hand them in at the end of the school year.

At Mundus College, every student needs a device to be able to follow the curriculum in full. As a school, we have opted for a chromebook. You can order this chromebook free of charge via a voucher that you receive from school (excl. insurance). We explicitly recommend that you take out the insurance offered. The chromebook is managed by the school during the school career at the Mundus. As soon as your child leaves school, you can keep the chromebook (we will then remove it from the management). However, you do pay for the insurance so that we can be sure that in the event of problems, the device will be repaired and your child will soon be provided with a working device again. Once you have registered the chromebook for repair, there is the option to temporarily get a loaner laptop for your child through school. If you do not wish to make use of the school's offer and want to purchase a device yourself, this is only possible if you agree to the management of the device. This is to prevent differences in the classroom and thus complicate the teaching-learning process.

• The management is about the possibilities that the student gets on the device during school hours, Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This way, the teacher can watch and block certain websites. During those hours, the device can only be accessed with a Mundus School account.
• Students from class 1A, 1AB, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1J, 2F, 2G, 2J and 2L have received a letter containing a discount code (voucher) for ordering the Chromebook. If you no longer have this letter in your possession, please contact the student administration.
• A student who enters a higher grade will have the same opportunity to purchase a chromebook.
