Program LOB

1st Grade

In the first year, you get talent development, focused on personal development: what do you like and what are you good at? For example, you will be involved in photography, design, first aid, drama, creative writing and music. You will also participate in Mundus & More, the after-school program where you can choose all kinds of workshops.

 

2nd Grade

This year, it's all about choosing the right department in the upper grades. That is why the following LOB activities are on the program:

  • Talent lessons: for a number of weeks you will follow the following classes: Entrepreneurship, Mobility, PIE, Hospitality, Care & Welfare, Media, Building & Living, Design & Art.
  • Reflection: The mentor and P&S are working on thinking about the Talent Lessons and Mundus & More; What did you like, what suits you and why?
  • Information evening: you and your parents will receive information about choosing a profile and the possibilities there.
  • Lightning internship: you visit a company or institution for half a day.
  • TechLOB: in these lessons you will discover what possibilities there are in technology and ICT.
  • Information and talking: pupils from the upper years come to talk about their experiences.
  • Keuzeavond: together with your parents, you will receive information at the department of your choice. You then confirm this choice with a signature on the selection form. Read more about choosing vocational projects here.
  • Mentor lesson: the mentor pays attention to the selection process in class.

 

3rd Grade

  • Lightning internship: you visit a company or institution for half a day.
  • Vocational projects: you choose one of these projects and have lessons for six months (compulsory exam part).
  • Professional in the classroom: people from the professional field come to talk in class.
  • Subject lessons: you will be taught by subject teachers.
  • Vocational internships: you will gain experience for 2 weeks, also with an internship contract and an internship booklet.

 

4th Grade

The examination year is aimed at obtaining the diploma. But in addition, it is very important to orient yourself towards further education and to register on time. The activities are:

  • Vocational projects: you choose one of these projects and have lessons for six months (compulsory exam part).
  • LOB classes: You will be taught by a dean. They will help you make the choice that suits you. For example, you have to do assignments to get to know your own abilities better and give a presentation. You will also have a career interview.
  • Career choice test: you take a test under the supervision of the dean.
  • Student or former pupil in the classroom: they will talk about an education and/or profession.
  • Open days MBO: visiting open days is a mandatory part of the LOB programme.
