The municipality of Amsterdam has schemes to help parents with little money with school costs. The municipality helps parents with, among other things:
- Pupil's allowance for paying for things for school, sports, music and dance lessons.
- Free laptop or tablet for children aged 10 and up.
- City pass for outings and activities.
- Paying for sports club and music and dance lessons.
